About Anne Jones
After two decades at the forefront of UK wine retail with Waitrose, she set up Limestone & Jones to consult to the wine industry on a range of sustainability projects. She is Development Director for the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation and set up a retail sustainability collective under the auspices of the Sustainable Wine Roundtable (of which she was a founding Trustee). She is also Sustainability Ambassador and Advisor for WineGB and has a select group of vineyard, winery and event clients. Her specialism is in linking broad sustainability strategies, commercial and regulatory requirements with tangible actions through the supply chain, and especially in the vineyard.
Politically astute, she is well-connected and able to scan the sustainability horizon for trends, standards and regulations to ensure compliance and credibility across a range of sustainability topics. She is a strong believer in collaborative action and communication, demonstrating an ability to distil complex and emotive topics into pragmatic and practical strategic plans.
She is a well-regarded commentator and judge on wine competitions and sustainability related topics (for example at Prowein, teaching on MBA courses, at Plumpton and more)
